All About the Puerto Rico Retreat

As you fly across the Atlantic, leave whatever is not serving you behind and embark on both an adventure and retreat in Puerto Rico.

An included shuttle service will take you on the hour-long drive through the diverse country landscapes brings you to our retreat center on the side of a mountain in the town of Ciales.

Here you will overlook the lush rainforest boasting a choir of tropical birds chirping a welcome song just for you. On the retreat grounds, we will explore hiking trails that take us down to the river, gardens for fresh veggies, yoga as the sun rises, and family-style dinners at night.

We will spend part of our days exploring hidden gems like local beaches, ancient hieroglyphics, and astounding caves.

Puerto Rico is the perfect weekend getaway from the United States, and as a U.S. territory, it doesn't require a passport to travel.

We do ask that guests limit themselves to a carry-on bag and a personal item so that we have enough room in our airport transfer vans.

A full packing list will be sent after booking, but the clothes will be light.

What Makes This Retreat Special?

This retreat gives women a chance to break free from routine and set out on an adventure.

There will be time for connection and self-exploration in the evenings, island exploration through the day, and also time to retreat. You will have some of the best views in the world as you deepen your yoga practice, no matter your yoga experience level.

Like yin and yang, we balance reprieve with adventure in order to restore and recharge your mind, body, and soul.

We recommend this retreat for women who like to go off the beaten path, get their hands dirty, and like challenge their bodies.

We will experience mild to moderate hiking conditions while together in Puerto Rico.

Just A Few Of The Benefits...

  • What is a "No Talent, Talent Show?"
A "no talent, talent show" is essentially our fun way of helping everyone at the retreat channel their inner child, share some laughs, and create lasting memories together. Talent? Not necessary! Erin and Whitney often lead the charge, with Erin usually coaxing Whitney into joining her for a playful act. Talent isn’t a necessity here, just a good spirit and willingness to have fun. We encourage costumes to add to the hilarity and enjoyment—it's all about letting loose and having a great time!
  • Electricity & Outlets
Inside your cozy teepee, you'll discover battery-operated lights and a fan to enhance your comfort. Additionally, a portable battery pack is available for you to keep your phone or watch charged and ready. Please note, there is just one main outlet in the area, and it's primarily reserved for cooking and essential operations. This retreat is designed to help you unplug from the digital world and reconnect with both nature and yourself. We encourage you to embrace this opportunity to step away from constant connectivity and immerse yourself in the tranquil surroundings and personal reflection.
  • How to Get There ( Flights + Cars)
We recommend flying into one of the airports listed below and then using a car service such as Uber or Lyft to complete your travel to the retreat or rent a car. Airports: Orlando International Airport (MCO) Orlando Sanford International Airport (SFB) Daytona Beach Internatioanl Airport (DAB) Please note that guests are responsible for making their own way to and from the retreat, this is not included in the price. We will provide an exact address at the time of booking. This retreat will be held in Apopka, Florida, about 30 minutes from Orlando.
  • Travel Insurance Suggestions
While we do our best to hold our retreats rain or shine in order to offer guests the full experience of Earth's elements, we must always put safety first. With that being said, we do recommend travel insurance in the event of dangerous weather. We aim to notify our guests of cancellations at least four days in advance but also recognize that in Florida, severe weather can develop more quickly. Yoga Elements Retreats will refund 100% of what you have paid to us directly. If you book through a third party company, please be advised of their policies. We do not receive deposits from these companies until after retreats are finished, so we have no control on their decisions. January typically doesn't bring weather that poses as a threat to our retreats.
  • Responsible Travel
We love that you're here to enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings, and we have a small favor to ask to keep it pristine. Please help us leave no trace that we were here. That means picking up all your trash and making sure nothing is left behind. Also, while it's tempting to get close to wildlife or feed the animals for that perfect photo op, we really need to respect their space and keep a safe distance. This helps keep both you and the animals safe and ensures that nature remains undisturbed. Thanks for helping us maintain the beauty and integrity of this special place!
